Advocate™ for Cats (Imidacloprid + moxidectin)

The active ingredients in Advocate™ are:

Fleas don’t need to bite your cat to be killed. Unlike oral treatments (like chewable tablets) that require the medication to be absorbed into your cat’s bloodstream, Advocate™ spot-on treatment works on your cat’s skin to kill fleas on contact, which means the fleas do not have to bite your cat to kill them.

The other active ingredient, moxidectin, is rapidly absorbed into your cat’s bloodstream and distributed around the body, killing heartworms, intestinal nematode worms, lungworms and mites.

Advocate™ kills fleas, heartworm, lungworms, intestinal worms (larval, immature adult and adult stages of roundworms and hookworms), lungworms, ear mites and feline mange mites.

Use of the product may result in transient pruritus in cats. On rare occasions greasy fur, erythema and vomiting can occur. These signs disappear without further treatment. The product may, in rare cases, cause local hypersensitivity reactions. If the animal licks the application site after treatment, neurological signs (most of which are transient) may be observed in very rare cases.
