Vetriderm™ helps reduce allergen particles present on the skin and coat of the animals to which the lotion is applied. These allergen particles are "neutralized" when they are eliminated by rubbing the pet over with the lotion. Hence, the allergens cannot spread into the surrounding air and instead end up on the wipe and/or fall to the ground.

The quantity of Vetriderm™ lotion to use depends mainly on the size of the treated animal. It is recommended to apply it over the entire coat, in the direction of the hair and against the hair, to penetrate deeply into the skin, focusing on areas of heavy licking (tail, genital areas, and abdomen) and avoiding the head. However, it is not necessary to completely wet the animal, simply ensure that the product has been spread over the entire body to lightly moisten the coat. Vetriderm does not need to be washed off. It can remain on the coat of your pet.

There is no residual activity of the product over time: its action occurs at the time of application by binding to allergens, before being actively eliminated by rubbing with the cloth, or passively by falling to the ground, or even by rinsing (although this is not necessary). Also, if the animal is exposed to water after applying Vetriderm™ lotion to its coat, the product and the allergens on the coat will be washed away in the water. There will be no consequence on the perceived effectiveness of the product if the pet becomes wet, is bathed or washed after product application. The objective of Vetriderm lotion is to limit the ability of allergens present on the animal's skin and coat to diffuse into the ambient air, and to reduce their contact with other surfaces (for example clothes or furniture).
