Advocate™ for Dogs

Occasionally, hair loss may occur at the application site. This is usually a single occurrence and the hair will grow back uneventfully. In very rare cases, neurological signs such as ataxia and muscle tremors (most of which are transient) may be observed.

Advocate aids in the prevention of flea tapeworm through effective flea control. It does not treat an existing tapeworm infestation or prevent or treat any other type of tapeworm infestation. Talk to your vet for more information. 

Advocate can be used on puppies from 7 weeks of age. 

To treat your dog over 40 kg with Advocate, use two tubes of Advocate for Dogs over 25 kg over 3 spots along the dog’s back – between the shoulder blades, on the midline of the back between the hips, and at one point in between. 

Following the first application, Advocate spreads across the dog’s skin and coat within one day, killing existing fleas. Advocate stops reinfesting fleas from biting within 3 to 5 minutes and kills within 1 hour¹. Advocate also kills flea larvae in your dog’s environment.
