Advocate™ topical flea and worm treatment for cats

Advocate™ provides cats with fast relief from fleas.

After application, the active ingredient, imidacloprid spreads across the skin and coat of the cat, killing fleas on contact. This means fleas don’t have to bite your cat to be killed which means less stress and discomfort for your cat by minimising painful, itchy flea bites.

Existing fleas are killed within 12 hours, and after this time reinfesting fleas are killed within 1 hour.

Imidacloprid, is also shed with the natural shedding of your cat’s skin and fur, killing flea larvae in the environment. As Advocate™ kills both fleas and flea larvae, this is effectively breaking the flea life cycle.

Advocate™ provides comprehensive protection from intestinal worms by killing both adult worms and also the immature and larval stages of these worms, breaking the life cycle.

This is because worm larvae migrate through your cat’s body causing damage. These larvae and immature adults, which soon mature into adults, not only cause harm to your cat, but also lead to environmental contamination from eggs shedding before the next treatment, putting both you and your family at risk.

The second active ingredient, moxidectin, is rapidly absorbed into your cat’s bloodstream and distributed around its body. Moxidectin acts systemically, targeting endoparasites (intestinal worms) and ear mites.

Lungworm can cause debilitating illness in cats characterised by respiratory compromise and may be fatal.
