How does Advocate™ work?

"No need to bite" mode of action with Advocate™

Advocate™ provides cats with fast relief from fleas.

After application, the active ingredient, imidacloprid spreads across the skin and coat of the cat, killing fleas on contact. This means fleas don’t have to bite your cat to be killed which means less stress and discomfort for your cat by minimising painful, itchy flea bites.

Existing fleas are killed within 12 hours, and after this time reinfesting fleas are killed within 1 hour.

Imidacloprid, is also shed with the natural shedding of your cat’s skin and fur, killing flea larvae in the environment. As Advocate™ kills both fleas and flea larvae, this is effectively breaking the flea life cycle.

Monthly parasite protection both inside and out against a broad spectrum of parasites.

An easy-to-use spot-on applied monthly, Advocate™ offers parasite protection both inside and out, to help protect your cat from nasty parasites.

The active ingredients in Advocate™ provides fast relief from fleas, and also helps to protect your cat from flea larvae, ear mites and intestinal worms including roundworm, hookworm* and feline lungworm.

Part the hair until the skin is visible. Apply 1 tube on the back of the head. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube firmly twice to apply the solution directly on the skin.
