Profender™ topical worm treatment for cats

Profender™ for cats (emodepside and praziquantel) is a convenient, broad-spectrum including several larval stages, de-worming topical worm treatment applied every 3 months to adult cats which kills common New Zealand feline gastrointestinal worms including tapeworm, roundworm, hookworm* and lungworm+. 

Safe for use on kittens from 8 weeks of age.  In New Zealand, Profender™ is available in two sizes, see label for details.

Profender™ can be used during pregnancy and lactation. For pregnant cats, treat at mating, before birth of the kittens and then every 3 months. See pack for more information.
 

HUMAN WARNINGS: Not for human use. Keep out of reach of children.

Care should be taken to not allow children to have prolonged contact (for example by sleeping) with treated cats for the first 24 hours after application of the product.

Profender™ contains two active ingredients: emodepside and praziquantel.

Emodepside effectively treats roundworm, hookworm* and feline lungworm⁺.

Praziqunatel acts against all relevant tapeworms.

The active ingredients in Profender™ are absorbed topically through your cat’s skin, reaching the intestinal tract to kill worms. Safe to use in pregnant and lactating cats.

It is recommended to apply Profender™ (emodepside/praziquantel) every 3 months as part of a regular de-worming programme. See pack for more information.

Profender™ requires no prescription. Available at local veterinary clinics, pet retailers or authorized online retailers.

Applying Profender™ for cats is easy and convenient. Before applying Profender™, the cat must be at least eight weeks old and meet the minimum weight criteria.  Please also check your cat’s weight to choose the appropriate worm treatment.
