How to apply the Seresto collar
Keep the Seresto collar in the packaging until you’re ready to use it. Once open:
- Remove the small plastic connectors inside the collar before using.
- Place the collar around your cat or dog’s neck and adjust, the ratchet system and loop will secure it in place. A proper fit means the collar can't slide over your pet’s head, but you should be able to insert two fingers between your pet’s neck and the collar. This ensures the collar is not too tight but will still stay in place.
- Cut off any excess length of the collar that extends more than 2 cm past the loop, leaving more if you have a growing puppy or kitten.
- After trimming, dispose of any remnants or off-cuts of the collar appropriately.
For growing puppies or kittens, check the fit of the collar regularly to ensure it’s the correct tightness.
